Introductory Provisions

This Cookie Policy represents a statement of the website owner addressed to all website users regarding the use of the technology known as “cookies” on the website which is active and available at the internet domain merkurxtip.rs which every user may freely access, subject to accepting the terms under which the website operates and the obligation to comply with such terms.

This statement has been prepared in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 87/2018) (hereinafter: the “Law”), and in particular in accordance with the principle of transparency.

Article 1. Definitions and Abbreviations

  1. Website Owner – means the legal entity that owns the website software (code)and the internet domain to which the website software is connected.
  2. Website User – means any natural person who accesses the internet domain andthe website that is the subject of this document.
  3. Use of the Website – means any access to the website, regardless of whetheronly the static function or also the dynamic function of the website is used,regardless of the time spent on the website, and regardless of the actions taken.

Article 2. Purpose of the Cookie Policy

The purpose of this document is to regulate the use of cookies, ensure the principle of transparency towards website users, and ensure the principle of personal data processing.

This document constitutes the regulation applicable to the website in question together with the Terms of Use of the website and the Privacy Policy of this website, but regulates a separate area, namely, it establishes the rules for the use of cookies.

This document is fully aligned with the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy of this website.

Article 3. Cookies

Social networks include all third-party networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Social networks may place cookies through the website in question, which may then be used to improve the user’s profile on the social network or otherwise contribute to the data they store for the purposes specified in their privacy policies.

With regard to the use of all types of cookies referred to in this Article, the provisions of this Article that directly relate to the technological solutions implemented on the website itself shall apply.

Article 7. Web Beacon (Tracking Pixel)

Our email addresses may contain a “web beacon” (or “tracking pixel”) that will tell us whether our emails have been opened and confirm any clicks on links or advertisements within the email. We may use this data to determine which of our emails are more interesting to users and to ask whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them. The tracking pixel will be deleted when you delete the email message.

Article 9. Retention of Data Collected through Cookies

Usage Data is stored for internal analysis for a shorter period, for a maximum of 3 years, except where such data are used to strengthen security or improve the functionality of our website, or where we are legally required to retain them for a longer period.

Article 10. Changes to the Cookie Policy

The website owner reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy at any time. If this document is materially changed, i.e. in its substantive provisions, all website users will be informed of the changes and, upon their next access to the website, will again have the option to accept the now amended document.
